Is travel between Heathrow terminals free?

Travel between Heathrow Terminals 2 & 3, Terminal 4 and Terminal 5 on the Elizabeth line is free. Touch in and out as normal and you won't be charged.

Is the Elizabeth line cheaper than Heathrow Express?

Yes, by a wide margin on the walk-up fare. Both run Paddington to Heathrow; the Elizabeth line is £14.60 with contactless and carries on through central London, so there is no change at Paddington. Heathrow Express is faster by roughly 10 minutes.

Do peak fares apply to Heathrow journeys?

Not from Paddington - that fare is the same all day. From stations further east, peak and off-peak fares differ; both are shown in the table above.

Can I use Oyster to Heathrow?

Yes. Oyster and contactless charge the same fare to all three Heathrow stations. Oyster only stops being valid west of West Drayton, which is the opposite direction.
