Timetable FAQs
How often do Elizabeth line trains run?
Every 2–3 minutes at peak times and every 3–5 minutes off-peak in the central section between Paddington and Whitechapel. On the branches: roughly every 5–10 minutes to Abbey Wood and Shenfield, every 15 minutes to each Heathrow terminal, and every 15–30 minutes on the outer Reading branch.
Is there a Sunday Elizabeth line timetable?
Yes. The Elizabeth line runs every day, but Sunday service starts later - first central London trains from roughly 07:00 - and trains are a little less frequent than on weekdays. Saturday broadly follows the weekday timetable. Planned engineering work most often falls at weekends, so check the station timetable and line status before travelling.
What time is the last Elizabeth line train?
Last trains call at central London stations between about 00:15 and 00:35 Monday to Saturday, with first trains from roughly 05:30. Sunday last trains run at similar times. Exact times vary by station and direction - check the timetable for your station.
Is there an official Elizabeth line schedule or timetable PDF?
TfL publishes the official Elizabeth line schedule as downloadable timetables on tfl.gov.uk. For most journeys the live departure boards are more useful, as trains in the central section run every few minutes.
Station timetables on this site are generated from the national rail timetable feed and refreshed weekly. See first & last trains for every station and journey times between any two stations, and TfL publishes official timetables for planning ahead.
Weekend engineering work occasionally closes sections of the line - check live line status before travelling, and quiet times for the least busy periods.
